Two overlapping possible positions for a single house in an open field at Carricknagat, Ballygawley, were tested. There is no indication of archaeology on or near the site. A total of 342m of 1.5m-wide trench were opened in five trenches on 7 April 2001. There were no archaeological discoveries. Six fragments of modern crockery were noticed.
