Pre-development testing took place in advance of a single house, access lane and septic tank. The site is on a hillside just outside the village, and near a ringfort and fulacht fiadh. Four trenches were excavated, to a depth of 0.5–0.6m. While a number of stone-lined field drains dating from the mid-20th century were uncovered, no archaeological remains or features were revealed.
