Pre-development testing and monitoring of a proposed housing development of 110 houses, partially located within the zone of archaeological potential of an archaeological complex/field system, took place. While given a general monitoring condition, most of the 21-acre site was tested rather than stripped, given the staggered nature of the proposed development. Ten long test-trenches were excavated across the site to a depth of 0.4–0.6m. A small area approximately 60m by 30m was completely stripped under supervision. No archaeological features or finds were uncovered across the site.
