Testing was carried out as part of pre-development work in advance of the ‘Gas Pipeline to the West’ project. The area tested corresponds to where the pipeline corridor passes through the zone of archaeological potential delimiting the extent of SMR 51:61 (01–08). Four trenches were opened. A number of field drains were identified which are of indeterminate antiquity. No other features were noted.
