The test excavation of an Eircell facility, approximately 20m south of a recorded monument, took place. Three trenches were opened, ranging from 14m to a maximum of 17m in length and averaging 1.3m in width. Topsoil overlay natural subsoil and had a maximum depth of 0.5m. No features, remains or deposits of archaeological significance were encountered.
