Monitoring was carried out on the second phase of a housing development in the townland of Manorland (Second Division) immediately outside Trim, Co. Meath. The second phase of monitoring followed on from monitoring carried out earlier by Redmond Tobin (Excavations 2000, No. 782).
While no archaeological monuments are listed within the development area, one recorded monument bounds the site to the south-east. This site (SMR 36:26) was identified from an aerial photograph (CUCAP, BGH 78) as a rectilinear enclosure, approximately 50m by 50m.
No archaeological soils or indicators were identified at the site during this phase of monitoring.
