Monitoring was carried out in one large ploughed field in County Meath with no known monuments in its immediate vicinity. A subcircular pit was located approximately 30m from the eastern end of the site. There were no finds or apparent concentrations of seeds in the feature, and a detailed examination of the area revealed no further features. An old field ditch oriented north–south was located. The ditch was 3–4m wide and was associated with intersecting radial field drains. It was exposed during the topsoil clearance for Roads 3 and 4.

No further archaeological indicators were identified on the site. The absence of charcoal, with the exception of the small traces identified in the shallow pit, suggests that the areas exposed were not occupied in the past.
