An assessment was carried out on a proposed commercial development site at Moorehall, Ardee. Two test-trenches were excavated within the proposed development site. Finds retrieved include building rubble, modern pottery, bicycle parts and modern glass fragments. No features of archaeological significance were exposed.
A small single-storey building is present within the north-west area of the site. Removal of the foundations of this building will be monitored in early 2002.
