An assessment was carried out on a proposed commercial development site at Bridge Street, Ardee. It is proposed to construct a two-storey extension to the rear of a house and to convert the same to an off-licence. Two test-trenches were excavated within the proposed development site. Finds recovered include modern glass fragments, glass bottles, modern and post-medieval pottery. No features of archaeological significance were exposed within the trenches.
