A spread of burnt material was recorded in a field to the north of the Dublin Road during the programme of field-walking carried out along the ploughed route of the Limerick Southern Ring-Road. This spread measured 10m by 3m and was investigated by manually excavating a trench measuring 4m by 1m. The burnt material was found to be a modern rubbish deposit and no archaeological features or finds were recovered.
