The Ballymackeogh Certified Drainage Scheme, Cos Limerick and Tipperary, had been carried out in 1997 and 1998 and was monitored by the writer (Excavations 1998, No. 385). In 2001 the final embankments adjacent to the medieval remains of the parish church at Killeenagarriff were monitored. Material for the embankments was removed from the nearby riverbank and used to form an embankment c. 2m high, 5m wide and 25m long between the churchyard and the river, which flowed to the east. All the works were supervised. Nothing of archaeological interest was noted during the works. This work completes the drainage scheme.
