A small scatter of undiagnostic flint was recovered in a field immediately to the west of the Kilmallock road during the programme of field-walking of the ploughed route of the Limerick Southern Ring-Road. Fourteen 10m by 10m test-trenches were opened. The topsoil material in this field was found to average 0.2m in depth and to overlie a sterile yellow silty clay subsoil. No archaeological features or finds were encountered.
