Monitoring took place of hand-excavated trenches for the purpose of running electrical cables to two floodlight emplacements surrounding Fenagh Abbey. Despite the incredible potential for uncovering archaeological remains on this site, none were revealed during the excavation. The trenches were 0.3m wide and 0.25m deep and for most of their length followed modern paved routes into the abbey grounds.
