Monitoring of a sewage scheme extending throughout the Plantation period village of Drumsna took place. The scheme comprised almost 4000m of pipeline and numerous manholes along its length. The trench was 1–1.5m wide and up to 3m deep in places. The scheme comes close to a number of ringforts and enclosures. The famed Doon of Drumsna is located approximately 1km north of the village on the Roscommon side of the Shannon.
While a few pieces of post-medieval pottery were uncovered in the topsoil, as well as numerous 18th/19th-century finds, including clay pipe fragments and crockery, no archaeological features or other finds were uncovered.
