Monitoring was undertaken of ground disturbance at Kilmacow, Co Kilkenny. The owners of the site had obtained planning permission to extend an existing quarry. One of the conditions of planning permission required that all groundworks should be monitored. There was no recorded monument within the confines of the part of the site being extended in early 2001. Nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
