Monitoring of soil-stripping at Whitechurch, Straffan, was undertaken in accordance with the recommendations made as a result of testing by Ronán Swan and John Kavanagh (Excavations 2000, No. 513). Soil-stripping took place within an area measuring 14.4m north–south by 7.2m to a maximum depth of 0.23m. No artefacts, features, structures or deposits of archaeological significance were uncovered.
