The final phase of topsoil-stripping associated with a quarry development was carried out in early February 2001. Two individual human skeletons were excavated at the site during 1999 and 2000, and the remains of a cemetery were uncovered and investigated during 2000 (Excavations 1999, No. 383; Excavations 2000, No. 484). No additional features or deposits of archaeological interest or potential were uncovered during the final phase of topsoil-stripping.
A total of fifteen sherds of pottery were recovered during the entire course of monitoring. All were submitted for analysis to Clare McCutcheon, who reported that one sherd of 17th-century North Devon ware was included in the assemblage, with the remainder being of medieval date, including locally produced ware, Leinster cooking ware and pottery from Wiltshire and France.
