The site consisted of an area of stones, 10m by 10m, with a small fire-reddened patch. Investigation showed that the stones were round, not angular like those in a fulacht fiadh. The area affected by burning proved to be small, and there was modern refuse present. It was wet, and appeared to have been filled with stones in recent times for drainage purposes.
