Test-trenches were excavated as part of an archaeological assessment to fulfil a request from Tralee UDC. The development site is located on the northern side of Tralee, and borders the zone of archaeological potential for the town. Five test-trenches, measuring on average 20m by 2m, were excavated across the entire area of the site. Foundations associated with demolished late 19th-century railway buildings were recorded in one of the trenches. No archaeological stratigraphy or artefacts were recorded.
