No levels, features or items of archaeological or historical value were uncovered during a week-long test excavation at a site close to the remains of a late medieval tower-house. Further monitoring during the soil-stripping stage of the proposed house development and supervised clearance of rubble from the remaining portion of the tower-house is recommended.
