A site assessment was carried out at Stewart’s Hospital, Palmerstown, Dublin, prior to a proposed development involving a new entrance and a single-storey extension (334m2) to the side and rear of the existing clinic building. Two trenches were opened along the line of the foundation trench of the proposed new extension. There was no evidence for any archaeological deposits or features. The area proposed for development has been heavily landscaped, with the ground comprising backfilled soil over natural. There were no finds.
