An archaeological assessment in advance of the North Fringe Sewer Project was required owing to the proximity of the pipeline to St Doolagh’s Church. Two trenches 9m long were excavated in the grass verge in front of the main entrance to St Doolagh’s. In no trench were finds, features or structures of any archaeological significance uncovered.
