The site was extensively tested in advance of a housing development owing to its proximity to the ecclesiastical enclosure of St Moibhi’s, SMR 18:5, and the medieval village of Glasnevin. Few remains were exposed, however, save for a cooking area with medieval pottery and the possible site of a farmhouse depicted in the 18th century. Both features were subsequently excavated (see Excavations 2001, No. 424), while most of the site was regularly monitored. No further archaeological features were recovered during the course of the monitoring.
