Numbers 18–19 Duke Street represent an 18th-century house, which is currently being redeveloped. The present structure had to be propped and as a result the walls had to be underpinned. The excavation for the underpinning revealed that the house sat directly on boulder clay. No earlier archaeological features have been encountered to date. However, work on this site is ongoing.
