Test excavation in advance of a new link road for the Parkwest office and retail development was requested owing to identification of a previously unrecorded burial-ground c. 1km west of the site. The new road, due to be developed by Dublin Corporation, will link Nangor Road and Cloverhill Road. The area to be tested (700m x 50m) comprised open rough grassland and tarmacadam.

Ten trenches were excavated by mechanical digger. In no trench were finds, features or structures of any archaeological significance uncovered.
