Street furniture was being updated in the centre of Londonderry. Four trees were being replaced on the site of the old Market House. With the expansion of one of the tree-pits a c. 3m length of wall foundation was exposed. Although no dating evidence was present, it was almost certainly the foundation of the Market House, which had burned down in 1910.
