This site was excavated owing to the appearance of numerous unidentified features that were unearthed during topsoil-stripping. These were found to be a series of unrelated post-medieval agricultural features. They were relatively shallow, with occasional sherds of post-medieval pottery and modern refuse scattered throughout. Two land drains and two features containing evidence of burnt tree roots were also uncovered.
