Planning permission was granted for a dwelling-house at Kilcolman, Enniskeane, which is within the zone of archeological potential for a holy well, an early ecclesiastical enclosure and a church site. Six trenches were opened. Four were excavated along the footprint of the foundations of the house. A fifth was excavated on the line of the out pipe to the septic tank and a sixth was on the length of the driveway. The area at the entrance to the site, to the south, had been excavated by the landowner in the past as a source of gravel. Nothing of an archaeological nature was noted on the site.
