Planning permission was granted for a dwelling-house within the zone of archaeological potential for a burial-ground, a ringfort and a souterrain. Four test-trenches were opened by mechanical digger on the footprint of the building. Monitored topsoil-stripping took place in the area of the house, entrance and garage. No archaeological finds or features were noted.
