Testing took place on this site which is within the zone of archaeological potential for the city of Cork, inside the medieval walled city. One test-trench was opened to a depth of 0.8m, the depth to which development on the site would proceed. No archaeological levels were noted. The city wall was not exposed. Archaeological monitoring of the removal of all fill material on the site was recommended.
