The monitoring of groundworks in advance of the construction of a telecommunications mast at Kilseily, Broadford, Co. Clare, revealed nothing of an archaeological nature. However part of a rotary quern was found lying against the field boundary some 10m south of the compound area of the development. It measured 1m in diameter and was 0.25m thick. A 0.12m-diameter hole, 0.03m deep, was located in the centre of this stone.
