Testing (one trench adjacent to church boundary wall) and monitoring of groundworks associated with the renovation of waste ground into a park area took place in June 2001. The site was located to the east and south of the boundary walls of the 12th-century St Flannan’s Cathedral. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted during the monitoring.
