Monitoring was carried out on 14 November 2001 of the access road to a proposed residential development at Carrickane, Co. Cavan, approximately 25m from an enclosure. The monument is located in a pasture field adjacent to a modern housing development, and had been truncated by a railroad in the 19th century. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
