Four test-trenches were opened on the site of a proposed dwelling-house in Templecarrig Lower, near Greystones. The site lay 300m to the west of Rathdown Castle and St Crispin’s Cell and within an area of significant archaeological potential. The test-trenches were 47m, 26m, 17m and 17m long and 2m wide. Nothing of archaeological significance was recovered from any of the trenches.
