Test-trenching was carried out prior to the construction of a dwelling-house. The site was 20m to the south-east of a ringfort, which is on a flat plateau that commands views to the north, south and west. The ringfort was overgrown and consisted of a wide, shallow ditch and a steep, high bank. Despite extensive test-trenching in the proposed development area, nothing of archaeological significance was revealed.
