This site was found as part of the work conducted under licence 00E0379 (see Excavations 2000, No. 1068). This burnt mound spread was one of several burnt mound sites encountered during the N25 Rathsillagh to Harristown Little Realignment Scheme. The excavation of this site revealed a spread of burnt stone, c. 8m north–south, soil and charcoal situated around a possible plank-lined trough.
