This suspected site was tested as part of the series of archaeological investigations carried out before the construction of the N25 Rathsillagh to Harristown Little Realignment Scheme (see Excavations 2000, No. 1068 for scope of works).
What appeared to be a small prehistoric site turned out to have no archaeological significance. The patterns of discoloration noted turned out to be a mixture of animal burrows and tree-root activity.
