Archaeological monitoring was carried out during the excavation of three foundation trenches for a proposed workshop extension. A modern concrete yard surface extended to a depth of 0.35m and directly overlay a layer of coarse, dark brown clay that contained moderate inclusions of brick and stone rubble. This layer extended to an average depth of 0.5m and lay above the natural subsoil. No archaeological features or deposits were exposed, and no finds were recovered. No further work is required.
