A possible monument was observed during a site inspection associated with a proposed golf club. It comprises a raised circular area, 6m north–south x 6.7m. There is a very slight suggestion of a ditch, which is most pronounced on the south side. There is an area of rough ground on the north side, immediately outside the feature, where there may have been recent disturbance. The total diameter is 11m north–south. A couple of thorn trees mark the feature in the landscape.
Two hand-dug trenches tested the perimeter and the centre of the feature. It was shown that material was thrown up from the exterior. Archaeological features were not observed. The feature was interpreted as a man-made landscape feature such as a tree ring.
