A single test-pit was cut in the middle of a small yard behind a terraced house on Mitchell Street, ahead of a proposed extension. Upcast subsoil and soil from construction of the 19th-century terrace overlay a pocket of surviving soil over bedrock. No sign of occupation (pre-dating the terrace) was found.
