A total of 26 proposed sites were identified during preliminary investigations carried out here in 1999. Following topsoil-stripping, ten of the proposed sites necessitated archaeological excavation and total resolution. Four additional sites were also identified during monitoring of additional topsoil-stripping. These sites also required full archaeological investigation and total resolution, which was carried out between April and July 2000.
