An area, 20m by 20m, was initially stripped by machine and subsequently cleaned by hand to expose the full extent of the fulacht spread. The spread had maximum dimensions of 2.35m by 5.75m and appeared to be significantly ploughed out. A single pit, with maximum dimensions of 1.6m by 1.25m, was exposed beneath the fulacht. No trough was evident. In addition to this, two post-medieval cultivation furrows were also exposed on site D1.
