Following test-trenching prior to house construction on a site 150m south of Creevykeel court tomb, two burnt stone spreads (6m and 10m in diameter) were discovered. The house trenches were extended 10m eastward and 4m southward, and the percolation area of the sewerage system was relocated to retain the archaeological layers intact. The results require approval by Dúchas The Heritage Service and Sligo County Council before construction can begin.
