Archaeological monitoring took place in the townlands of Magheraboy and Caltragh in summer 2000, as part of the Main Sligo and Caltragh Sewerage Scheme. The archaeological licence was briefly transferred to the writer from 15 June to 15 August 2000.

In mid-July 2000 three fulachta fiadh, as well as a large Neolithic site, were exposed and identified during monitoring in the townland of Caltragh. Two fulachta fiadh, as well as the Neolithic site, were excavated within the corridor of the pipeline (see Excavations 2000, Nos 873 and 876). A third fulacht fiadh, which was also identified, was bypassed by the Sewerage Scheme.

Further reports are to be found elsewhere in this volume, completed by Anne Marie Lennon and Mary Henry.
