Monitoring of topsoil removal was carried out between 2 June and 7 July 2000 on the 1.5km-long temporary access road and compound area for the new Boyne Bridge at Oldbridge. The 4m-wide access road was placed on the eastern side of the motorway route outside the permanent fence. Archaeological material was recorded at three locations (see Excavations 2000, Nos 769–71).
