Seven test-trenches were excavated on the site. Archaeological deposits were revealed in one of the trenches close to the site street front, which is located just outside the medieval town wall. Several sherds of medieval and post-medieval pottery were revealed, including Dublin wares. In situ medieval and post-medieval deposits appear to survive on the site at a depth of 53.16m OD. Additional work will be undertaken if development proceeds on the site.
