At the time of writing, excavation of this prehistoric site on the Drogheda Bypass is ongoing. Thus far excavation has revealed occupation evidence tentatively dated to the Early Bronze Age in the form of a round house measuring 13.5m in diameter. A second circular structure situated c. 100m to the west measures c. 6.5m in diameter and may date to the Neolithic. Metalworking evidence, as yet not fully excavated, is of uncertain date. Because much of the site has not yet been investigated, a more extensive summary will be included in next year’s publication.
