Monitoring in advance of construction of a housing development took place in September 2000 at Rathmullen, Co. Louth. Eight extremely truncated (max. depth 0.25m) gullies were found. They were less than 1m wide and were uniformly filled with a redeposited orange clay. No artefacts were retrieved from any of the gullies, and no other features were present.
