The base of a subrectangular pit, recorded on the sloping side of a field ditch and below the removed bank and hedge during work on the Northern Motorway (Drogheda Bypass), may be the trough of a destroyed fulacht fiadh. The pit, 0.9m x 1.1m and 0.2m deep, was filled with heat-fractured stones.
