Monitoring of topsoil removal, to a depth of 0.2–0.3m, took place in the back yard of an existing building during the removal of topsoil in advance of the development of an extension. This consisted of a dark, gritty soil mixed with modern brick and china. Occasional spreads of pebbles—possible cobbling—were uncovered, which also contained modern crockery. Nothing of archaeological significance was recorded.
